Great Idea, Almost There

At a cost of absolutely nothing, there’s no reason not to download this app.

It’s sleek, works, and it supports Spotify. Downloaded.

With that said, there are some problems.

1. The album artwork only ever displays as written over with the controls, not when moused over. Kinda ugly, a bit of a downer since it looks like it’s supposed to do that in the screnshots, but not terrible.
2. The scrubber is abysmal. It’s always at the wrong time (stuck at start or end), you can’t move forwards or backwards, and most of the time it doesn’t even update regularly.
3. The metadata is usually off (shows it playing the wrong song).

However, it’s free, and damnit, the buttons work. Good enough for me.

Looking for a not-free but better polished alternative? Go somewhere else, this isn’t it. Simplify, BarRemote, etc. But damnit, this one is free.
